We are delighted to bring you hand washed and carefully carded wool fibre from our rare breed Roscommon Sheep. We have a limited amount of fibre available as we only selected the top four fleeces from our flock to ensure that we have the best quality fibre. Each fleece was gently washed to retain some of the lanolin then dried outdoor. To prepare the fibre we carefully double carded it through an electric drum carder producing a batt that is a pleasure to spin. Roscommon wool is a medium to long staple with some crimp and lustre and suitable to spin into fine yarn
